Frequently asked questions
Can I make changes to my booking slot after I have made payment?
Make sure you check through the details in the invoice sent to you after submitting your booking request, and notify us immediately if there are any errors before you make any payment. Email hello@colight.co or Whatsapp to 88296686 to reach out to us.
What is your rescheduling policy?
We understand that due to certain unforeseen circumstances, you may need to reschedule a booking with us. You may Whatsapp to 88296686 at least 72 hours before the start of your photoshoot to reschedule, do also state your reason to help us understand the situation better.
Colight will consider at our discretion(but is not obliged) to allow only One(1) complimentary rescheduling at no cost provided that the new shoot date is within one month from original shoot date, subjected to studio and photographer's availability. Any subsequent rescheduling will incur a further booking fee of $50.
Should you prefer to choose a later shoot date (latest 3 months from original shoot date), there will be a $50 fee charged.
Do I get a refund if I cancel a session?
The Studio, Photographer, and/or Makeup Artist has set aside time and other engagements to carry this booking and the Deposit is a fair and reasonable estimate of the loss and damage suffered if the booking is terminated. In the event the booking is cancelled, the deposit shall be forfeited and not refundable.
Can I reach earlier to prepare for my photoshoot?
Please do not arrive more than 5mins prior to your slot, as the studio may still be occupied and there is no waiting area.
That being said, your punctuality is appreciated hence do make sure all your guests arrive on time. We stick strictly to your booked time slots to respect the photographer and other clients' time, especially when there are back-to-back bookings.
What happens if I arrive later than my booking timeslot for the photosession?
Your photosession will still end as per your scheduled time. You may choose to extend the session at $150 per 15min block, provided the studio and photographer is available.
How do I secure my slot? What is the process like?
Follow these steps:
1. Check our availability and schedule a booking slot on Colight’s booking page
2. An invoice will be issued to your email address together with the payment details and methods within 3 working days.
3. You are required to make a 50% deposit payment after issuance of invoice, otherwise the booking will be voided and the slot will be opened up to next person in the waiting list. Any outstanding payment will be settled on the shoot date itself.
4. We will send you a reminder text a couple of days before your scheduled shoot to prepare you of what to expect during the shoot.
5. After the shoot, we will prepare a preview for you to select your favourite photos for editing. Happy choosing!
6. The editing process will take about 2 weeks, or maximum of 3 weeks during the peak period.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayNow or Bank Transfer. Payment details can be found together with the invoice issued to your email address

You are welcome to just rent our studio space and engage your own photographers/other vendors 🙂

What is the maximum number of outfit changes & can I wear my own outfit?
Only 1 outfit is allowed per package/session.
If you wish to have more than 1 outfit, you may do so by extending the photosession for 15mins (additional charge of $210, and comes with additional 10 colour edited photos)
How many set-ups/scenes are included in a package?
Each family photoshoot package is inclusive of 1 choice of set up.
Cakesmash packages include another mini setup of the same theme you choose.
If you prefer to have more than 1 set-up during your photo session, simply purchase another package for a back-to-back shoot. Makeup and robe rental fees will be charged as a one time charge, unless you wish to have a change in makeup look and/or different robes at different set-ups.
My family size consists of more than 5 pax! Can I top up to include more pax or bring my pet for the shoot?
Yes you can! Our packages includes up to 5 pax, and has the option of adding pax at $30 per pax. This applies to pets, babies, toddlers and young children.
My family size is quite extensive...
If your family is 8 pax or more, we highly recommend you to take 2 packages back-to-back, which means you'll have more shoot time and covers for more pax. More photoshoot time allows for a comfortable pace and time to let your family members be their natural self in a new environment.
Additional pax charges is a one time charge for consecutive sessions! It's a good deal if you wish to have a big family photo and also do smaller family combinations.
Do you provide the cake for cake smash package?
We advise families to get their own cakes because babies have different preferences for flavours and some may have certain dietary restrictions which we may not be aware. So you'll know best which cakes are most suitable for your baby!
One tip is to get buttercream, and avoid fondant cakes(even though they look pretty) because in reality they are not as smash-able. Also, try to go easy on red cream, as too much can make your baby look a bloody mess, literally.
Do you provide Makeup and Hairdo services?
Yes we do provide in-house basic makeup and hairdo at the following rates, subjected to MUA availability:
$100 per pax(weekdays), $130 per pax(weekends and PH) - 60 to 90mins
$30 per kids hairstyle - 15 to 20mins
*Bookings have to be made in advanced
What can I expect from Basic Makeup and Hairdo services?
Basic styles refer to hairstyles suitable for daily natural look e.g. straightening or curling of hair only.
It is not inclusive of more complex/glam hairstyles e.g. braiding.
I can't choose which photos I like more! How can I purchase more photos?
If you'd like to purchase more colour edited photos, you may do so with an additional top up of:

Will I receive all of the unedited images?
We do not return unedited images. The full set of unedited JPEG images in screen resolution are available for purchase at $300.
Does the photos include photoshopping works (e.g. slimming, complex skin retouching)?
Our packages includes colour & lighting adjustments to the images. You can opt to top up for additional photoshopping services if you'd like! Rates will range between $30 and $50 per image for photoshopping works depending on the complexity of photoshopping.

Are you taking any measures to keep the studio and props sanitised?
Yes, we disinfect the studio and high-touch areas after every session so that all of us can have a peace of mind. We also provide hand sanitizers for your own free use 🙂 You are highly advised to be vaccinated and take an ART test(if possible), for yours and your family's safety.

What happens if I go into labour before my photoshoot date?
Your deposit will be converted into credits for future photoshoots(i.e. newborn or family photoshoot). Please drop us a whatsapp text asap so that we can make necessary arrangements and assist you immediately in the conversion to avoid incurring any fees due to last minute postponement or no-show on the photoshoot day itself.

4. After verifying your payment which confirms your booking, if your package includes a complimentary maternity robe rental, we will notify the vendor to reach out to you regarding your robe choices.
5. We will send you a reminder text a couple of days before your scheduled shoot to prepare you of what to expect during the shoot.
6. After the shoot, we will prepare a preview in the next 2 days for you to select your favourite photos for editing. Happy choosing!

When should I do my maternity shoot?
A standard time-frame for taking maternity photos is in the third trimester of your pregnancy, between 31-35 weeks as the bump is obvious in photos. However, each woman is different and there are no absolute rules against doing your photo session outside of this recommended timeline.
What is your current setups? Where can I see the complimentary maternity robe selections?

Classic robe selection are already included in Packages B/C. You can +$20 to upgrade to one from the Premium selection.
Otherwise, you may visit Whimseyjune for other designs available if you top-up the price difference. Feel free to check with the Whimseyjune team for their latest promotions and advice regarding robe matters.
Do I choose the maternity robes in your studio on the day of my photoshoot?
No, we do not keep any robes/gowns in the studio for hygiene purposes. After confirmation of your booking, Whimseyjune will contact you regarding your choice of outfit. The selected outfit will be delivered to the studio a few days before the photoshoot date.
What is the maximum number of outfit changes & can I wear my own outfit?
1 outfit is allowed per package.
If you'd like to bring an additional outfit to the session, you may do so by topping up $150 for a 15min time extension. This time extension does not include additional photos and is limited to the same setup.
Do you provide Hair and Makeup services?
Yes, Package C is inclusive of Hair and Makeup for 1 pax.
Hair and Makeup service for additional pax will be charged as follows:
$100/pax weekday, $130/pax weekend or PH
What can I expect from Basic Makeup and Hairdo services?
Basic styles refer to hairstyles suitable for daily natural look e.g. straightening or curling of hair only.
It is not inclusive of more complex/glam hairstyles e.g. braiding.

Choose 1 out of our 3 set-ups per Package A, Package B or Package C photo session 🙂

Can I top up to include more pax or bring my pet for the shoot?
Yes, our Package B and C is inclusive of 1 additional pax to do the shoot together. Any additional pax, including pets, will be at +$30 per head.
Helpers who are not involved in the shoot are allowed in the studio premises, but for your own privacy, please do not bring the whole kampong.
What do I need to bring/prep for the photoshoot?
We have prepared a handy dandy guidebook for you to be more prepared for the photoshoot.
This includes what to bring, what should husbands wear, tips for hair and makeup etc.
I can't choose which photos I like more! How can I purchase more photos?
If you'd like to purchase more colour edited photos, you may do so with an additional top up of:
